Nilesh Modi is the wicketkeeper of the Gujarat cricket team. He was born on July 11, 1973 in Nadiad, Gujarat. He is also a right-handed batsman of the team. His full name is Nilesh Dinesh Modi.

Nilesh Modi started his "First-class" cricket career in 1992/93. Till then, he has played in altogether 73 "First-class" matches in his cricket career with an average of 32.70. He has made his total score of 4186 runs in these matches, which includes seven centuries and 21 centuries. The highest score made by Nilesh Modi in any of the "First-class" matches is 202 runs. He did not bowl in these matches. The latest "First-class" match of Nilesh Modi was against Railways cricket team, which was held at Mumbai from January 5 to 9 in 2008.

In the "List A" matches, Nilesh Modi debuted in 1993/94 and continued up to 2002/03. During this period, he has played in overall 27 "List A" matches with an average of 26.15. His total score in these matches is 680 runs, which include one century and three half-centuries. The maximum score made by Nilesh Modi in any of the "List A" matches is 133 runs. Being the wicketkeeper of the team, he did not get the chance to show his bowling skill in the "List A" matches also.

My best performance was against Amrawati University in 1991-92 with 105 runs not out & 3 Catcher beh ind the stump.

2. ABROAD TOUR : I played in the team led by Mr. Dhiraj Prasana at NAIROBI and LONDON with xcellent performance specially in batting & Wicket Keeping.

3. INTER UNIVERSITY : All India Best Wicket Keeper in Inter University for the year of 1991-1992.

4. AGAINST KENYA : My performance was against Kenya 45 Runs for Gujarat President Eleven.

5. AGAINST WEST INDIES : Captain for G.C.A President Eleven against West Indies .

6. AGAINST ZIMBABWE : Played against Zimbabwe for G.C.A President Eleven.

My best performance was in Ranji Trophy against Hyderabad in 08-09 250 Not Out .

My best performance was against Ease Zone 118 Runs at Kolkatt and Indian Record Partnership with Hrishikesh Kanitker 340 Runs for 2nd Wicket on Debut Match.

8. Deodhat Trophy : Represented West Zone led by Nayan Mongia during 1999-2000.

9. Wills Trophy : Selected in Board President XI under Mohd. Azharuddin’s Captainsip Played in Final scored 51 Runs against Karatak.
